JOB TITLE: Project Manager (SCM) / Production Manager

Tasks &
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical manufacturing support to R&D.
- Act as technical interface to R&D, Operations team and Supplier (Contract manufacturer)
- Work with contract manufacturer’s manufacturing team to ensure manufacturing and assembly operations are setup per COMPANY guidelines/standards.
- Will be Responsible for a smooth production ramp up at external manufacturing partner(s) with the target to achieve robust and cost effective production and assembly processes including time & motion study
- Participate in root cause analysis and lead the technical resolution interfacing with contract manufacturer and R&D.
- Work closely with the contract manufacturers technical team for establishing required manufacturing/assembly setup for building prototypes and production.
- Ability to use statistical and DOE tools to solve manufacturing problems.
- Coordinate with R&D and Suppliers (Contract manufacturer) to develop part specific fixtures/gauges for process development leading up to pilot lot to production.
- Electromechanical product manufacturing / assembly background
- Experience in assembly line setup and supplier management in setting up lines.
- Ensures that supply chain requirements (e.g. costs, procurement, logistics and production aspects) are considered in the early development phase & acts SCM leaders from project perspective
- Active participation representing COMPANY in process development of new products with emphasis on building process capability on all critical secondary processes from pilot production through serial production
Education &
Trainings:
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic from a reputed institute with an extensive professional background in a technical oriented environment (High Tech Industry)
- MBA Would be added advantage
Technical know how: (Mention
the technology on which person must be experienced)
- Proven experience (>5 yrs) in Process Engineering, PPC & manufacturing operations. - must
- Good knowledge in Manufacturing, Vendor Development & Project Management is preferred
- Experience in supporting R&D projects
- Technical Degree or Business Administration Degree with an extensive professional background in a technical oriented environment (High Tech Industry)
- Project management skills
- Experience in managing manufacturing service providers
- Fluent English
Good to know:
- Experience of working in a PLM based environment will have an added advantage
Soft Skills: (Inputs
on soft skills required for role, like team management, communication, customer
management etc)
- German Language Skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel
