CFD Engineer

UK /CFD/Oil and Gas / Salary Package as per experience /Permanent/Urgent - SB2 -50

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of commercial project engineering tasks directly reporting to the project managers. The project work will be predominantly CFD based involving CAD model construction, meshing, pre & post processing and report writing. All work will be of a high quality and delivered to agreed timescales. Day-to-day work will involve close interaction with other members of the team as well as client liaison. The work environment is fast paced with demanding deadlines. Innovative, adaptable individuals with a commitment to quality service will thrive in this role. Experience in the Oil & Gas or Hydrodynamics sector is considered an asset.

Specific qualifications being sought are as follows: 

• Possess relevant tertiary qualifications in either aerospace /mechanical engineering or related disciplines with a strong fluid dynamics background 
• Have sound working knowledge of using commercial CFD codes,meshers and CAD packages for 3D applications 
• Have a high level of computer literacy 
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language 
• Have good problem solving ability and aptitude for striking a good balance between application of complex academic principles and engineering judgment 
• Ability to work with commitment and accuracy under pressure with a high degree of self-motivation and self-sufficiency while operating as a team player at all times
• Good multi-tasking ability and time management skills 
• Good interpersonal / business liaison skills
