SENIOR ADVISOR FOR RAILWAY INCIDENT AND ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Economic and safety regulation of the railways is currently being established in Saudi Arabia. A senior individual (10+ years experience) is required to advise on railway accident and incident investigation. The role is broad ranging and involves all duties in relation to reporting, investigating and acting upon the findings of accident and incident investigations.

Candidates should ideally have worked for a railway regulator in the UK or other European country, and be able to demonstrate:

  • A substantial track record of relevant experience and achievement in accident and incident investigation
  • Extensive knowledge of methods available and in use for incident and accident investigation
  • Extensive knowledge of railway operations and services
Applicants should hold at least a first degree (Bachelor) and preferably a higher (Masters or Doctorate) in an Engineering or Science discipline, with a minimum of 10 years relevant applied experience in a senior role concerned with incident and accident investigation and analysis.
