Multi Body Design Engineer

Job Description:
Role Involves:
- Experience using the Matlab (Simulink) soChennaiftware environment and the control and optimization toolboxes
- Ability to model a given system from physical principles or system identification methods and derive the mathematical representation in state-space of transfer function form
- Able to analyze system stability and define performance requirements and metrics
- Comfortable working with continuous-time and discrete-time controllers and able to convert between the two domains, including sample-time choice and considerations
- Should have designed and implemented controllers in an industrial setting for real-world systems
Required Key skill sets:
- Multibody dynamics, MSC ADAMS, Modeling and Simulation, CATIA AMESIM
Minimum requirements
- Experience using any Multi Body Dynamic (such as Virtual.Lab Motion or MSC ADAMS) software environment
- Ability to model a given system from physical dimensions or CAD and analyze the kinematic and dynamic response under various test conditions
- Ability to interpret/enhance system model results and suggest feasible solutions for design improvement
- Willingness to work with multiple domains, including automotive and aerospace.
- Should have modeled, simulated and analyzed real-world systems for Model-Based Design and Development
- At least 2-3 year(s) of relevant experience.
- Experience in automotive/aerospace systems, CATIA/AMESim/Simulink software is an added advantage
- Strong motivated individual capable of adapting to an exceedingly dynamic environment.
- A natural communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proven track record of accepting responsibility and meeting commitments
- Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural multi-national team
