Engineering Inspector

Various Locations - UK / Engineering Inspector/ Energy / Experienced / Salary Package as per experience / Permanent / Urgent / Job Ref: SB1-119

ROLE PURPOSE

To provide inspection of industrial equipment, products and installations to determine their conformity with client standards and specifications. The role is performed independently, with minimum supervision at manufacturing locations.

THE ROLE
You should be

  • Fully conversant with relevant inspection techniques and principles
  • Able to verify and approve Non-Conformities / Corrective actions
  • Able to identify required interventions, based on a pre-defined Quality Plan and according to specified standards
  • Able to review / Appraise inspection procedures
  • Fully comfortable using a PC and email/office software
  • An excellent written and oral communicator
You should meet one of the following criteria
  • Minimum 8 years vocational experience or equivalent qualification
  • Technical College with minimum 5 years vocational experience or equivalent qualification
  • Bachelor degree with 3 years relevant experience. All related to the specific technical discipline(s).
MAIN DUTIES
  • Review of applicable contractual requirements (technical standards, specifications, etc).
  • Definition and review of Quality Plan and the relevant procedures
  • Review and validation of inspection assignment documentation (technical aspects, reference documentation, schedule, milestones, reporting, logistics, coordination procedure, etc)
  • Definition of interventions
  • Selection of the most appropriate inspection techniques
  • Execution of inspection according to predefined Quality Plan, and to the established inspection procedures / techniques
  • Execution of inspection reporting including treatment of non-conformities (NCR’s) and other applicable deliverables
  • Ensuring quality of inspection according to the Quality System
  • Interpretation of results of inspections
  • Follow-up of the NCR’s and the corrective actions
  • Review and appraisal of inspection procedures
  • Maintaining internal and external communication
  • Promotes portfolio to clients
  • Respects security guidelines of the organisation and safeguards personal security in the working environment
  • Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge management)
  • Continuous learning and developing in his area of responsibility
